What this role is about:
We’re looking for a dynamic and strategic Internal Communications Manager to lead and elevate our internal communications efforts. As this is a newly created role, you’ll have the unique opportunity to make your mark and shape the future of how Airbox communicates. This position plays a key part in shaping the employee experience, driving engagement, and ensuring our people are informed, aligned, and inspired.
You’ll design and deliver internal communications strategies, craft compelling messaging, and collaborate across teams to enhance leadership visibility, strengthen culture initiatives, support change management, and drive business priorities.
What you’ll be doing:
Develop and implement a scalable internal communications strategy aligned with our company’s mission, values, and objectives.
Partner with leadership, People, and department heads to deliver clear, consistent, and engaging communication across the organisation.
Create, edit, and manage internal content including announcements, newsletters, intranet updates, executive messaging, and campaign materials.
Support change management efforts by communicating company initiatives, structural changes, and other key developments.
Ensure communication is tailored for diverse audiences across multiple locations and channels.
Track engagement metrics and feedback to continually improve internal communication efforts.
Manage internal events and communications campaigns that enhance employee engagement and company culture (e.g. Town Halls, All Hands Meetings, Department initiatives).
Maintain internal communications tools and platforms.
Act as a trusted advisor to senior leaders on internal messaging and tone.
Partner with Talent/People to bring our employer brand to life.
Build key narratives for company milestones (growth, product launches, leadership changes).
Working closely with our Marketing Team to define and manage the communications calendar across channels, including blog posts, newsletters and relevant web content.
About You:
You are a highly experienced and passionate internal communications professional with a proven track record in employee engagement and related fields. You are a communicator through-and-through, understanding keenly how communications serves as a vital driver for achieving company and business goals, including critical commercial objectives. You enjoy the opportunity to influence behaviours, drive company objectives, and smash goals through strategic communications and the various tools in the comms toolbox.
You possess exceptional writing, editing, and storytelling skills, coupled with a strong understanding of communication strategy, audience segmentation, and tone of voice. You're adept at influencing, advising, and building strong relationships with stakeholders across all levels, and you're comfortable utilising various internal communication tools such as SharePoint, Microsoft Teams, and email platforms.
You thrive in fast-paced, dynamic environments, bringing a proactive and flexible approach to your work. Your expertise extends to change communications, culture-building, and employer branding, all driven by a genuine passion for connecting people and fostering a strong organisational culture. With a strategic mindset and a hands-on attitude, you approach your role with curiosity, empathy, and a collaborative spirit.
Bonus Points If You Have:
Experience in a Tech scale-up environment.
Visual or multimedia communication skills (e.g. basic design, video scripting/production) are a bonus.
Experience in external comms

Salary; Up to £55,000 depending on experience.
