What this role is about:
We’re looking for a System Administrator to join our IT team. Working with the Support Team, System Engineers, and Architects, the System Administrator will ensure that the computer systems and networks of the Airbox organisation are running smoothly and securely, aligning with industry best practices such as ITIL
What you’ll do:
Analysing system logs and identifying potential issues with computer systems
Applying operating system updates, patches, and configuration changes
Adhering to ITIL best practices, specifically regarding Incident, Problem, and Change Management processes
Installing and configuring new hardware and software
Troubleshooting and providing technical support to employees
Answering technical queries and assisting users
Monitoring system performance and troubleshooting issues
Managing endpoint security and threat protection using Microsoft Defender
Deploying and managing device configurations and compliance policies via Microsoft Intune
Administering Atlassian Jira, including managing projects, workflows, and user permissions
Ensuring security and efficiency of IT infrastructure
Setting up accounts and workstations
Managing user identities, groups, and access rights within Active Directory
Performing regular security tests and security monitoring
Maintaining networks and network file systems
About You:
3~5 year experience as a System Administrator, Network Administrator, or similar role
In-depth knowledge of operating systems, such as Windows, Linux, or Mac
Solid understanding of ITIL framework and service management principles
Strong experience with Active Directory, Microsoft Intune, and Microsoft Defender
Proven capability in Jira administration and configuration
Familiarity with hardware, such as servers or printers
Knowledge of system security, data backup/recovery, network servers, and technology tools
System maintenance skills, such as applying updates, patches, and configuration changes
Resourcefulness and problem-solving aptitude, such as troubleshooting and resolving system issues
Excellent communication skills, such as explaining technical issues to non-technical users
Comfortable with coming into our office at least once a week
Desirable
ITIL Foundation Certification (v3 or v4)
Experience with HubSpot CRM administration
Good understanding of scripts in Python, Powershell, Bash, SQL or other languages
Cloud computing skills, such as using and managing cloud services and platforms
Industry certifications, such as Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert (MCSE)
