What this role is about:
As the Mobile Developer, you will be required to maintain and add additional features to our mapping and situational awareness product. It would be advantageous if you are also able to work with iOS (C#/XCode), Android (C#) and Windows (C#/WinForms/ASP.NET). We maintain a common codebase in C# and use .NET to target iOS & Android platforms (currently targeting .NET 8). The Windows client and server side are developed with Visual Studio.
You will be joining a collaborative team, working closely with other internal stakeholders including other Software Engineers, QA Engineers, DevOps and Product Owners. Our current tech stack includes C#, ASP.NET, .Net Core, containerisation with Docker, AWS, Microservices, JavaScript, React and C# for Mobile Development. We work to SOLID principles where possible and operate in an agile methodology.
We don’t expect you to have experience with every technology listed here, but if you’re interested there is always an opportunity to learn (and we give all our Developers access to Pluralsight just for this).
Key Responsibilities:
As a mobile developer you will be focusing on the UI of our applications, working to help us improve the overall experience of our products through identifying areas of the code and user experience to improve, as well as adding new features and functionality. We’re looking for a developer with a passion for building high-quality software, with strong engineering principles and a desire to work in an agile environment.
● Maintain and add additional features to our mapping and situational awareness product.
● Collaborating with the wider development team to deliver quality software projects
● Analysing application specifications and technology approaches to ensure business requirements are met
Key Attributes We Value:
NPPV3 Clearance: Successful candidates must pass an NPPV3 clearance upon successful application, which requires 3 years of UK residency.
Experience building mobile applications across iOS and Android using both .NET for Android and iOS
Experience coding with C#
Experience in Design Patterns in either MVVM or MVC
A knowledge and experience of working to development best practices
Extensive knowledge of object orientated programming
Communicates comfortably with internal stakeholders and immediate team.
Experience in using GIT source control (Branching, Pull Requests, Merge and rebase)
Knowledge of software development life cycle and agile practices
Ability to work without supervision and under pressure
It’s a bonus if you have:
2D graphics experience
Knowledge of GIS systems
UI / UX
Experience with XCode / iOS development
Experience with Android Studio
ASP.NET
Experience or knowledge in unit testing

Salary: Up to £60,000 depending on experience
